The Good News is the gospel that Jesus Christ spoke about.
What the apostles wrote about in the scriptures and which millions of Christians have been preaching for centuries all over the world.
Why? It is a message of life and death, a personal message, and a message of unconditional love from a Father for His child and His creation.

The 'Good News' is, therefore, the announcement of God's saving intervention.

By nature we humans choose our own way and disobey God. The Bible speaks of 'sin' when we go against the will of God. Wrong behavior towards God but also wrong behavior towards people. Sin is seen as a major problem in the Bible. Isaiah 53:6 | Romans 3:10
As a result, there is a gap between man and God
God is a Holy and Righteous God, and cannot tolerate sin. Sin therefore creates a gap between man and God.
Isaiah 59:2 | Romans 3:23
We cannot close that gap ourselves by doing good things. You can't earn it. Nor will our “good” deeds justify our sin or erase the sin we commit.
Ephesians 2:8-9 | Titus 3:5 | Romans 4:4-5
Yet there is salvation because God loves you so much that He gave His only Son Jesus. Jesus died for our sins and rose again after three days. If you believe that, turn from sin and obey and follow Him, then the gap between you and God will be gone and you will live in the presence of God forever. Free from sin and free from hell - eternal death.
John 3:16 | 1 Peter 2:23 | Romans 5:8 | Romans 10:9

Through faith in Jesus Christ, you receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Faith in what Jesus has done for you, rather than your own efforts to justify yourself for God, ensures that life does not end when you die. You do not expect it from yourself or draw from your own strength, but you put your trust in Him and He is your Source from which you draw.
John 14:6 | Acts 16:31 | Romans 10:9-10

A Reminder For those who have received the gospel before:

Brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the good news that has been shared with you. You have believed it and it has become the foundation of your life. You have also been saved by that good news. But you must continue to believe it exactly as you have read it in the scriptures. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2
